Floyd Matheny – Tillman County Sheriff’s Office

In September 2022, Deputy Floyd Matheny was arrested on felony child abuse charges after an 11-year-old accused him of physical assault, resulting in visible bruising. Matheny resigned from his position, and the District 3 Drug and Violent Crime Task Force conducted the investigation. His peace officer license was suspended effective November 5, 2020.
