Create And Track Police Department History
In 2009, Officer Bennett, along with Officer Jessie Alan Fuller, engaged in a scheme to stop motorists on Interstate 65 under false pretenses and steal cash from them. Bennett admitted to multiple thefts, taking between $100 and $200 from each victim. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy against rights and deprivation of rights under color of law. In January 2013, Bennett was sentenced to 37 months in prison, two years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $500 in restitution.
