    In August 2024, Officer Johnny Brown was arrested and charged with domestic violence strangulation and third-degree assault following an incident at a residence in DeKalb County. He was suspended pending investigations by both the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and the Fort Payne Police Department. Brown was released on an $18,500 bond.
