Create And Track Police Department History
On May 24, 2019, Deputy Sharpe was involved in an incident where he allegedly used excessive force against Wesley Pryor. Sharpe reportedly kneeled into Pryor’s back during the arrest and ignored his pleas when his toe was caught in the patrol car door. The incident led to a lawsuit alleging excessive force and failure to intervene. The court denied summary judgment for Sharpe on the excessive force claim, allowing the case to proceed to trial.
