On May 24, 2019, Sergeant Foster was involved in an incident where he allegedly used excessive force against Wesley Pryor. Foster reportedly twisted Pryor’s left arm, causing muscle and rotator cuff injuries, and kneeled on his neck multiple times despite Pryor’s protests about a prior neck surgery. The incident led to a lawsuit alleging excessive force and failure to intervene. The court denied summary judgment for Foster on the excessive force claim, allowing the case to proceed to trial.
