Create And Track Police Department History
In 2007, Irvin Hugh Lynch, former Chief Deputy of the Apache County Sheriff’s Office, pleaded guilty and no contest to two counts of false swearing before the State Grand Jury, both misdemeanors. In 2005, Lynch falsely testified that a 2003 trip to Phoenix with Sheriff Hounshell was to purchase a new truck for himself, when it was actually to buy a vehicle for Hounshell’s son. Lynch was paid overtime by the county for this trip. He was sentenced to 30 days in the Navajo County Jail.
