Former officer Jason Bragg McIntosh was involved in multiple domestic violence incidents leading to his resignation from the Hoover Police Department in March 2019. In December 2019, he was charged with capital murder for the shooting death of his estranged wife, Megan Montgomery, in a Mountain Brook high school parking lot. McIntosh pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of murder in March 2021 and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
