Officer Adam Quinn, of Hispanic descent, filed a federal lawsuit alleging workplace discrimination and harassment during his seven years with the Bristol Police Department. He claimed differential treatment compared to white counterparts, including undue scrutiny, attempts to discipline him without cause, and inappropriate internal investigations. Quinn also alleged that two officers filed a false complaint leading to his arrest and a 30-day suspension, and that he regularly heard racist remarks in the workplace. The city planned to contest these allegations in court.
