In September 2023, former officer Amber Bolt was indicted on ethics violations. She allegedly used her law enforcement position to perform an unlawful vehicle stop to assist another officer, Christopher Looser, in retrieving items during a vehicle repossession. Bolt also made a false statement to an employee of the State of Alabama Ethics Commission. Her bond was set at $60,000.
