In February 2025, Officer Andrew Rowell was terminated for conduct unbecoming of a police officer after a package containing cocaine was delivered to a residence addressed to him. An internal investigation also found a clear envelope with a white powder substance in his emergency vehicle, which tested positive for cocaine. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division conducted an independent investigation into the matter.
