On October 10, 2015, Officer Anthony Correa was involved in the arrest of Lawrence Crosby, a Northwestern University PhD student, who was mistaken for stealing his own car. During the arrest, Officer Correa was seen striking Crosby at least seven times. The incident led to a $1.25 million settlement by the City of Evanston.
