In 1981, Officer Anthony S. Citro was involved in a traffic accident while responding to a call with lights and siren activated. Following the incident, he contacted Officer James Oakley at his residence, attempting to influence Oakley’s investigation report to minimize his own fault. This led to two five-day suspensions: one for careless operation of the police vehicle and another for attempting to influence an official investigation.
