Former Lt. Arther Myers was fired in connection with the July 1, 2019, arrest of Rashad Robinson, where Officer Kevin Schlieben struck Robinson after he was handcuffed. Myers was accused of making false or misleading statements regarding the incident. However, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Training Council later determined that the Charleston Police Department failed to establish misconduct on Myers’ part. Following this finding, Myers began working as a police officer in Summerville. ([apnews.com](https://apnews.com/article/police-1aed5be474f38b517e7d221abd2b3353?utm_source=openai))
