In May 2018, detention officer Ashley Parra was arrested for engaging in sexual contact with an inmate at the Pushmataha County jail. Following a two-day trial in May 2019, she was convicted of second-degree rape. Parra was remanded to custody pending sentencing scheduled for June 26, 2019.
