In September 2020, Officer Austin R. Williams was found guilty of third-degree sexual assault of a child, involving a minor aged 11 to 14. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison, ordered to register as a sex offender for 25 years, and underwent 18 months of post-release supervision. His law enforcement certification was revoked on June 17, 2022.
