On November 6, 2016, Deputy Brandon McIntosh assaulted an arrestee, P.D., using a dangerous weapon, resulting in bodily injury. He subsequently filed a false report stating that P.D. was combative and that minimal force was used. A federal grand jury indicted McIntosh on June 28, 2018, for violating civil rights and obstructing justice. If convicted, he faced up to 10 years for the civil rights charge and 20 years for obstruction.
