In November 2023, Officer Creel was involved in two incidents of excessive force. On November 3, he kneed a handcuffed man in the head twice, resulting in two jaw fractures. On November 14, while escorting a handcuffed individual, he caused the person’s head to strike a railing post, leading to a 4-inch laceration requiring staples. Creel was charged with misconduct in office and assault, and was terminated on November 29, 2023.
