In June 2016, Officer Brett Palkowitsch kicked Frank Baker, an unarmed man mistaken for a suspect, while a police dog was mauling him. Baker suffered fractured ribs and a collapsed lung. Palkowitsch was convicted of a civil rights violation in 2019 and sentenced to six years in prison.
