In 2017, while employed by Eastern Niagara Hospital and providing radiology services at the Niagara County Jail, Meacham was accused of sexually assaulting and verbally harassing an incarcerated woman. The court determined that his actions were a clear departure from the scope of his employment, and the Niagara County Sheriff was not held liable for his conduct.
