West Springfield police captain Brian Pomeroy was arrested and charged in 2022 with two counts of indecent assault and battery for allegedly groping two female officers during an off-duty gathering after the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day Parade. He was placed on leave and ultimately separated from the department in July 2022, and he awaits trial on the criminal charges.
