    Former Officer Cameron Lebbon, who served as President of the Peoria Police Officers Association from 2017 to 2020, was indicted in October 2022 for theft and fraudulent schemes. He was accused of embezzling $15,700 from the police union. Lebbon retired in May 2021, and his police certification status is pending a decision by the state oversight board.
