On September 24, 2014, Officer Charles Turner participated in a traffic stop where he and another officer forcibly removed passenger Jamal Jones from a vehicle, using a Taser after breaking the car window. The incident resulted in a federal lawsuit alleging excessive force. The FBI investigated but found no criminal or civil rights violations. The lawsuit was still pending as of late 2014.
