Sgt. Charlie Roberts was arrested on October 22, 2021, for sexual battery and violation of oath of office. The charges followed an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, initiated at the request of the Dougherty County District Attorney. Roberts was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
