In June 2010, Chief Dee Rosenbaum was accused of attempting to shoplift clothing from a Dillard’s store in Provo. Surveillance footage showed him placing items into a bag he brought into the store. Although criminal charges were not filed, the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Council decertified him for four years in March 2012 for shoplifting and lying during the investigation. Rosenbaum had served as chief for 25 years at the time of the incident. ([ksl.com](https://www.ksl.com/article/19693358?utm_source=openai))
