In December 1990 and March 1991, Chief Freddie Morgan authorized and participated in two raids on the Capri Club, a nightclub in Chambers County. The raids involved a significant show of force, including SWAT teams and multiple law enforcement agencies. Patrons and employees were detained at gunpoint, searched, and denied access to restrooms. The raids resulted in allegations of excessive force, unlawful detention, and violations of Fourth Amendment rights. The case was documented in Swint v. City of Wadley, 5 F.3d 1435.
