Appointed as police chief in April 2022, Chris Estess was removed in September 2022 due to consistent failure to discuss major department decisions with the mayor, lack of supervision leading to illegal activity, and taking 20 days off since his appointment. The Bossier City Fire & Police Civil Service Board unanimously voted for his removal.
