In January 2015, Detective Christopher Bataille was accused of using excessive force against Matthew Rudavsky, who was handcuffed and seated at the time. Bataille allegedly slammed Rudavsky headfirst into the concrete floor, causing injury. A lawsuit was filed against Bataille and other officers, alleging excessive force and failure to intervene.
