    Officer Christopher Burbank participated in the March 2020 incident leading to the death of Manuel Ellis. Burbank faced charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter but was acquitted in December 2023. He subsequently resigned from the department, receiving a $500,000 settlement as part of a voluntary separation agreement.
