In September 2024, former Deputy Christopher Clark was terminated from the Westlake Police Department after an internal investigation revealed allegations of harassment and the use of racist language toward coworkers. Prior to his tenure at Westlake, Clark served as a deputy with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, where he had multiple reprimands, including for failing to show up for work and for actions taken while serving as chairman of a disciplinary board. The internal affairs investigation sustained allegations of conduct unbecoming of a police officer, leading to his termination.
