    Former officer Christopher Matott was convicted in 2022 for domestic assault and criminal threatening related to incidents between July and December 2019. He received a suspended prison sentence and probation. Matott was also charged with aggravated domestic assault in 2018 for allegedly strangling a woman until she lost consciousness. He was dismissed from the Winooski Police Department following his arrest.
