In 2021, Officer Christopher Troche was found to have solicited sex from an undocumented woman he met while investigating a harassment complaint. He offered her money for sex multiple times via text messages and engaged in sexual contact with her after providing alcohol, despite her being underage. An internal affairs investigation led to his termination in 2022. Troche was arrested but pleaded not guilty, and the criminal charges were eventually dismissed. An arbitration panel upheld his termination, citing serious misconduct.
