Deputy Collin Lenahan is a defendant in a February 2024 civil rights lawsuit alleging excessive force against Malia Ashad. After Ashad was assaulted in a courtroom in August 2022, she was taken to a hospital for evaluation. While handcuffed to a hospital bed, Lenahan allegedly participated in using excessive force, including punching Ashad in the head and causing her to fall from a wheelchair. The lawsuit asserts that Lenahan’s conduct led to significant physical and emotional harm to Ashad.
