Deputy Hussey, during his probationary period starting April 11, 1994, exhibited multiple instances of misconduct, including failing to secure proper evidence, not filing required documentation, and unprofessional behavior towards a district attorney. The most serious incident occurred on February 12, 1995, when Hussey threatened to leave a state prisoner unguarded during a hospital transfer. These actions led to his termination without following the standard grievance procedures, as he was still a probationary employee.
