On March 13, 2022, while on duty, Corporal Wahlgren responded to a domestic dispute call from a woman identified as J.B. He transported her to a hotel, assisted her with check-in, and engaged in sexual intercourse with her in the hotel room. Wahlgren failed to activate his body camera, maintain dispatcher contact, or file a report of the incident. He pleaded guilty to misconduct in office on April 13, 2023, and was sentenced to probation before judgment and three years of probation.
