On August 7, 2018, during a meeting about a union grievance, Corporal Felder allegedly became physically aggressive towards Chief Deputy Patricia Fritz. He reportedly yelled at Fritz and, upon attempting to leave the room, swung open a metal door, pinning Fritz behind it. Sheriff Jonathan Held suspended Felder and directed the Park Police to confiscate his firearm and escort him off the premises. The incident led to an internal investigation into Felder’s conduct.
