In August 2019, Cpl. Daniel T. Hall conducted a traffic stop on Otis Andre Guthrie, issuing tickets for speeding and an expired tag, and arresting him for driving under the influence. Guthrie alleged that Hall violated his Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights, including claims of racial discrimination and malicious prosecution. The case, Guthrie v. Hall, was filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. The court granted summary judgment in favor of Hall, finding no evidence of discriminatory intent or constitutional violations.
