In January 2018, Officer Daniel Brown was involved in the arrest of Marconia Kessee, who died in custody shortly after. Body camera footage showed Brown taunting Kessee and dragging him across pavement. The incident led to a $650,000 settlement for Kessee’s estate in 2023.
