Officer Daniel Dolan has been involved in multiple incidents of misconduct over the past decade. In June 2021, while off-duty, Dolan pursued a speeding vehicle to a West Greenwich pizzeria parking lot, where he shot and wounded 18-year-old Dominic Vincent. Dolan claimed self-defense, stating the vehicle was moving toward him, but surveillance footage and witness testimonies contradicted his account. He was charged with felony assault but was acquitted in January 2023. In April 2019, Dolan was accused of using excessive force against Emily Rodrigues during a false arrest, leading to a civil rights lawsuit alleging battery and assault. In September 2023, Dolan was arrested in Coventry for suspicion of DUI and threatening public officials after exhibiting aggressive behavior during a traffic stop. Facing termination, Dolan resigned from the Pawtucket Police Department in November 2023.
