In 1992, during his probationary period, Officer Daniel McGinley was involved in multiple incidents: he became involved in a civil dispute stating, ‘don’t mess with me, I’m a cop’; received a letter of reprimand for failure to appear for work; and was counseled for being verbally and physically abusive with a citizen during an off-duty traffic stop. These actions led to disciplinary measures during his probationary period.
