Between 2007 and 2011, Officer David Cari participated in civil rights violations, including false arrests and illegal searches targeting the Latino community. Notably, in February 2009, Cari falsely arrested a Catholic priest and conducted an illegal search of a Latino-owned grocery store. He was convicted of conspiracy against rights, deprivation of rights, and obstruction of a federal investigation, resulting in a 30-month prison sentence on January 21, 2014.
