On October 18, 2020, Officer David Fruits allegedly used excessive force during the arrest of Christian Edwards. Edwards claimed that the handcuffs were applied so tightly that they restricted blood flow, and while being escorted, he was slammed to the ground, resulting in a fractured wrist and a concussion.
