Lieutenant Moore was terminated in 2020 for allegedly attempting to cover up the mishandling of a domestic violence complaint involving Officers McClain and Napoleone. In September 2023, Police Chief Sequeira obtained a civil protection order against Moore, alleging that Moore had been stalking him, including following him to a parking garage and recording him during a traffic detail. Moore filed a federal lawsuit alleging wrongful termination, and in April 2024, a jury awarded him $450,000 in damages, finding that city officials violated his constitutional rights.
