In 2004, Dispatcher Deborah Wiman was terminated for allowing an unauthorized person into the jail facility without prior consent, violating the department’s security policy. She was aware of the policy and its consequences. Wiman’s subsequent claim for unemployment insurance benefits was denied, as her actions were deemed misconduct connected with her work.
