In January 2020, Deputy Longieliere issued a warrant for Maurice Grant’s arrest without probable cause, leading to Grant’s false arrest and imprisonment. Grant was detained for two nights and faced criminal charges for over three years before the case was dismissed in February 2023. A lawsuit was filed against Longieliere and the Sheriff’s Office in October 2023.
