In July 2018, Deputy Barlow arrested Mr. Baker on charges of false imprisonment and resisting or obstructing an officer. Baker alleged the arrest was unlawful and retaliatory. The charges were later dismissed. A lawsuit was filed against Barlow and others, alleging unlawful arrest, malicious prosecution, and retaliatory arrest. The court granted summary judgment in favor of the defendants, finding probable cause for the arrest and no evidence of retaliatory motive.
