This action reportedly caused severe pain in Chaney’s left knee, which was not properly addressed despite multiple requests for medical attention. Chaney filed a lawsuit on December 11, 2024, alleging excessive force and inadequate medical care, claiming violations of his Fourteenth Amendment rights. The case is being handled in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana under Case ID 2:24-cv-01724.
