In June and July 2023, Deputy Brian Larkin was involved in two incidents where his police reports allegedly differed from body camera footage. The incidents involved responses to 911 calls dealing with intoxicated individuals. Allegations included unnecessary use of force and disrespectful language. An arbitrator ruled that Larkin’s reports were accurate but found his use of handcuffs unwarranted in one incident, resulting in a two-week suspension without pay.

Larkin was also previously fired from Greece PD and Macedon PD. An investigation conducted by the Monroe County Sheriff’s office states that probable cause to file criminal charges exists, but he agreed to resign instead.
