In January 2008, Deputy Charlette Marshall-Jones was captured on surveillance video dumping quadriplegic Brian Sterner from his wheelchair onto the floor during booking for a traffic violation. She resigned and was charged with felony abuse on a disabled person. Charges were dropped when she agreed to a plea deal, which included never working in law enforcement again and completing 100 hours of community service with the disabled.
