In 2011, Deputy Dillard was involved in an incident where he allegedly used excessive force against citizen Wreyford during a public meeting. Dillard reportedly struck Wreyford in the face, pushed him through a door into a wall, and arrested him without a warrant or probable cause. Wreyford was later acquitted of the disorderly conduct charge and filed a civil suit alleging violations of his constitutional rights.
