On August 1, 2021, Deputy Greenwood was involved in the arrest of Larry Weigle, who had fled from police. After Weigle was restrained and lying on the ground with his hands behind his back, Greenwood stomped on him twice, causing Weigle to scream in pain. Greenwood initially provided a false account of the incident, claiming he ‘pushed’ Weigle down and was unaware of any kicks. Internal investigations found Greenwood’s use of force excessive and his report inaccurate. He received a 40-hour suspension for his actions.
